Album art not syncing correctly

I recently ripped two CDs simultaneously, both albums with two discs. One of them worked fine, and everything synced properly, while the other did not. I add custom artwork to all of the CDs I rip into Apple Music for Mac, and it normally syncs well with my iPhone, but not this time. The album that is giving me problems has the Apple Music artwork that's automatically added as the artwork on my iPhone, while the miniplayer on it has the custom artwork I added from my Mac. This problem is only occurring on my iPhone with that one album - all of my albums have the correct artwork on my Mac, and all of my other albums synced properly on my other devices. I've tried switching the artwork multiple times, but to no avail. Does anyone have a solution to this other than re-ripping the album?


Currently running iOS 16.1.1 and Ventura 13.0.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You mentioned that the correct artwork syncs properly to your other devices. If this is working on another iPhone or iPad, it may be worth trying some troubleshooting steps on your iPhone:


First, close the Music app, Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

  1. "From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
  2. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close. 
  3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app."


Then, Restart your iPhone, and test to see if the artwork is correct. This will refresh the Music app to the operating system.


If that does not work, install iOS 16.1.2: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support



These steps assure you have cleared out any minor software issues and are running the most current version.
