Flexgate - MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)

Yesterday, my MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) bought on 26.04.2017, got the Display become dark. I found out it is the "Flexgate-Problem", a common Display Backlight problem of this MacBook Model. Apple is already starting a "13-inch MacBook Pro Display Backlight Service Program", and my MacBook fits in: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports). I went to the Service Store (in Berlin, Germany) and then they told me, my MacBook con no longer uses this support program, since it was purchased on 26.04.2017.

I also call the Apple support and on the Phone they told me, unfortunately my MacBook can´t use the support program (13-inch MacBook Pro Display Backlight Service Program) anymore because the three year limit is over. I cannot believe that Apple will not take the responsibility for an issue they already assume it, especially when my MacBook Pro unfortunately fits all the requires for those problematic Model. Who can help me in this unfortunate situation?

If you want a work-around, you can easily connect your TV set or an external displays or sometimes two, but that is not especially portable.

Readers here are other users like you, and can commiserate, but can not change that outcome. Based on the research you have already done, and your use of the term flexgate, you already know that You will have to pay to have your display replaced to continue to use it in the way you prefer. Apple will not be giving you one for free.
