Hello, the latest AppleTV 4K 2022 supports DolbyVision and HDR10+.
With a Samsung TV compatible with HDR10+ (non-DolbyVision), when playing DolbyVision content (Netflix, Disney+), does the ATV perform a conversion to HDR10+?
The documentation doesn’t describe any conversion. I believe it works like this: the device requests a stream according to its settings. If set to HDR10+, then it requests a HDR10+ stream, if available from the content provider. If not available, then HDR10 will be requested. If that is also not available, then SDR will be requested.
