Is macbookair m2 compatible with LG ultra wide monitor 49WQ95C?

Hello,

I’m using mba m2 model and considering to buy 49WQ95C monitor.

The monitor’s resolution is 5120 x 1440 (DQHD).

https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-49wq95c-w

MBA-M2 supports “One external display with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz” on its tech spec webpage.

I wonder if there is no displaying issue.

Thanks

Jinhong

Hi JH.K,

Looking at the specifications for the MacBook Air M2 found here MacBook Air with M2 chip - Tech Specs - Apple, it does show

Display Support
Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display at 1 billion colors and:
One external display with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz

Thunderbolt 3 digital video output
Native DisplayPort output over USB‑C
VGA, HDMI, DVI, and Thunderbolt 2 output supported using adapters (sold separately)

There is also another article that you may find helpful, Use an external display with your MacBook Air - Apple Support, it contains more details.

You may want to reach out to LG to confirm the compatibility to your MacBook Air.

Take care!
