How to Prevent Outlook App Notification on Apple Watch during Focus Time / DND

I have set Outlook App notifications to Do Not Disturb during Focus Times on my iPhone. This works for my phone (I don’t receive Outlook notifications during the designated Focus Hours), but it does not work for my Apple Watch (I continue to receive Outlook App notifications during the Focus Hours). I have “mirror iPhone alerts” active in the watch settings app, but this does not solve the issue.

I want to continue to receive Outlook App notifications on both my phone and watch outside of focus time hours, but I don’t want notifications on either device during the focus hours.

Any advice? Much appreciated!

Thanks for the follow up Shardling,

Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling the Outlook app to see if that solves the issue? Let's try these steps below.

"Close and reopen the app

Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

Restart your device

Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

Check for updates

To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.

Delete the app, then redownload it

Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

Give that a try and let us know if it resolves the issue.

Cheers!

Hey there, Shardling,

Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.

This is a great question and we're happy to share some information on how you can get this working. To start, we'd recommend heading to this support article and reviewing the information there as it is going to be a huge help in setting this up: Use Focus on Apple Watch - Apple Support

However, we want to specifically call out this section:

Note: To have your Focus settings shared across all your devices where you’re signed in with the same Apple ID, open Settings on your iPhone, tap Focus, then turn on Share Across Devices.

We hope this does the trick for you!

Cheers.
