Subtitles disappear in fullscreen

I have the problem that subtitles disappear as soon as I open the video in fullscreen mode. The video-settings-button, if present, also disappears as soon as I open fullscreen mode. I am

using an iphone 12 Pro with IOS 16.1. Look in the attachment how does it look the play window in normal view and in full screen view: no options button no view of available subtitles.
