Found someone's AirPods case

I’ve found somebody else’s AirPods case without any AirPods in it, I called apple but they said they couldn’t do anything how do I get them back to the owner??

best you can do is to hand them in at a local lost and found or your local law enforcements

I found someone’s AirPods how do I get them back to the owner? I was running on the Greenway and look down and saw a AirPods lying in the grass. I have kept the AirPods charged in my vehicle just in case the owner was trying to locate them.
