Mac Mail app won't launch

I just transferred from a 2019 macbook pro to the M1 16 inch MBP. Neither Mail nor Safari will launch. The icon will bounce about 10 times then ... nothing. The app is in the applications folder. I checked the Library folder, and my mail data is there, but I have no way to get to if since Mail doesn't launch.

Any advice is appreciated.

MacOS mail app takes a long time to launch I have been having issues with the native Mail app for quite some time now, with no idea on how else to resolve it. When I try to open the Mail app, it takes a good 20 seconds to open the window. So far I've tried: -removing all email accounts but a freshly-created one -reinstalling MacOS on top of itself -running CleanMyMacX maintenance scripts multiple times Nothing above seems to work. There is always the beachball mouse icon, and the app opens after about 20s. This is on an M1 MacBook Air, too. Thank you

Mail app icon won't open. Anyone know why my mail app on macbook pro, 15", 2017, won't open? The icon is not the envelope icon but is the stamp icon. Am running 10.13.6 high sierra.

Add these as Login Items:

Once added as login items, rest your Mac, logging in, seeing if they them ope.

Adding Loin Items: Open Items Automatically when you Log In on Mac - Apple Support

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

If still no good Disconnect from the Internet, then start Mail.

Does Mail crash if no internet?

Quit Mail & login to your WebMail in a Browser, Does that work?
