Spatial Audio Greyed Out on an M2 Chip Macbook Pro

My spatial audio is greyed out, even when I have an updated M2 Macbook Pro (2022, Ventura). I have Airpods Pro 2nd Gen headphones, and when I turn on Dolby Atmos content, it doesn't turn on.

Any advice to activate it is appreciated.

Hey tshaefrancais,

We'd be happy to help out with your Spatial Audio issues on your Mac with your AirPods Pro (2nd Gen).

It's not immediately clear why you'd be seeing that Spatial Audio isn't available, as you should meet the minimum requirements, however check to be certain you're running the latest version of macOS Ventura, 13.0.1.

Also, try unpairing your AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) and pairing them back to your Mac using these steps:

1. On your Mac, choose System Settings from the Apple menu , then click Bluetooth.
2. Make sure that Bluetooth is on.
3. Put both AirPods in the charging case and open the lid.
4. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white.
5. Select your AirPods in the Devices list, then click Connect.

We hope this helps out.

Take care!
