Mac Mini M1 (Ventura) and Canon MF455DW

Hi, I have the Canon connected to the Mini wirelessly and it prints just fine but neither Canon MF Scan Utility or Image Capture can communicate with the scanner. Re-installing, or just removing the Canon drivers makes no difference.

Fun twist...if I connect via Ethernet I can print and scan but then lose communication to both functions after an hour or so, even if the computer has not gone to sleep.

Help!
