How to quickly switch between Powerpoint and DVD/Internet video when projecting on screen ?
Hello,
Any available help here would be much appreciated.
I have the MacBook Pro connected to a video projector.
I'm using two apps using the Mac's screen: a DVD player and a Powerpoint presentation. I would like to be able to choose what is shown on the projector - the Powerpoint or the DVD video content and *easily* switch between the two.
I'm having difficulties achieving this. When I "Play" the video presentation, the DVD seems to get hold of everything. At points I need to stop the video (DVD or internet), and need to display the Powerpoint slides on the projector. However, I cannot not do so, without exiting out completely (esc) and opening to the powerpoint in order for it to be seen on the projector. The same is true for the switch back - I must exit the presentation in order for the DVD content to be displayed on the projector.
All this is lengthy, breaks the tempo of the class, and the audience gets distracted by what I am doing on the computer and the fact that I have to find place again in each application. Focus is lost!
Ideally, I would like to be able to switch what is shown on the projector (Powerpoint to DVD/Inbternet video) with one or two shortcuts. I thought I could do it by just switching applications on the Mac but, unfortunately, when DVD is "Playing/Paused" there is no way to access the Dock to switch applications.
Does anyone know of a key combinations, Monitor or Powerpoint settings, etc that would allow a quick and easy switch ?
Thanks in advance.
