Clips stopped working

Our students are using 9th generation iPads on 15.7 and creating some adorable Clips videos to document their learning about ecosystems. After a certain point, and it varies by project, but the Clips app (v 3.1.3) will stop allowing the addition of posters or photos.

Even a new project created on the same device does not allow the addition of photos or posters. Deleting and reinstalling the app will resolve the issue for a time, but this issue continues to persist after a period of time.

The iPads have at least 15 GB of space available, most of them have more space.

In short, Clips works great, until it doesn't.

We have replicated this on iPads on iOS 16 and 16.1.1.

Anyone else experience this? Any plans to correct these glitches on this awesome app?

Good afternoon Jepcke28,

It might be helpful for you to speak with an AppleCare technical advisor about the issues you are having with the Clips app. Click the link below, choose the phone number for your region from the list, and call when it is convenient.
