Clips stopped working

Our students are using 9th generation iPads on 15.7 and creating some adorable Clips videos to document their learning about ecosystems. After a certain point, and it varies by project, but the Clips app (v 3.1.3) will stop allowing the addition of posters or photos.

Even a new project created on the same device does not allow the addition of photos or posters. Deleting and reinstalling the app will resolve the issue for a time, but this issue continues to persist after a period of time.

The iPads have at least 15 GB of space available, most of them have more space.

In short, Clips works great, until it doesn't.

We have replicated this on iPads on iOS 16 and 16.1.1.

Anyone else experience this? Any plans to correct these glitches on this awesome app?

Thank you for this reply, but it isn't a 'how to use' issue. The guides do not provide troubleshooting guidance. We have used (and LOVED) Clips for 5 years, but situations like this have us rewriting curriculum and projects to utilize another tool.

We just want Clips to work on iPads.

I see what ideas Support might have.
