Hi guys,
I have an iPad 2022 (m2) and when in landscape view, the volume buttons are reversed. How to I keep the volume button consistent? It’s so annoying when I change view and the volume button changes with it (for example in portrait view the volume up is volume down in landscape).

iPad Pro, iPadOS 15
With release of iPadOS15.4, dynamic volume controls were added as a feature for existing models of iPad capable of supporting this feature. The feature could be optionally enabled (or subsequently disabled) if desired from iPad settings.

New models of iPad launched to market after release of iPadOS 15.4 (iPads Air5, mini6) were not able to disable the dynamic controls. The 2022 11” and 12.9” iPads Pro and the iPad10, also released since introduction of iPadOS15.4, are reportedly also unable to disable this feature. It is therefore feasible to presume that dynamic controls are similarly a standard element of the physical UI of these new models.
Apple have not updated their documentation to indicate that the 2022 iPads Pro and/or iPad10 are similar in implementation within the iPad Air5 and mini6. Hopefully Apple’s documentation will provide needed clarity in due course.
Apple do invite submission of constructive feedback and feature requests via its Product Feedback portal:

A step backwards if it’s just a setting…probably an over sight.
Please fix this Apple.

Hopefully, if enough users ask for it, the ability to disable dynamic controls in favour of fixed (static) physical buttons will return for all devices.
Update:
I note that Apple have now updated the linked support page - and have now clarified that in addition to the Air5 and mini6, the new 2022 models of iPad Pro and the iPad10 cannot disable dynamic buttons…:
Dynamic volume buttons
On iPad Pro 11-inch (4th generation), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (6th generation), iPad (10th generation), iPad mini (6th generation) and iPad Air (5th generation), the volume controls adjust automatically as you rotate your iPad. So you increase the volume using the button on the right or top, and you decrease the volume using the button on the left or bottom. For earlier iPad models, you must enable this option.

Unfortunately, your iPad does not have the Setting to turn Dynamic Volume Buttons off.
