Lost Phone Found. Stuck to AIG Claim they can't find

I lost my phone and then found it after starting a claim w/ AIG. I am able to go to their website and select cancel claim since it was not fully submitted and it tells me my phone will be restored in 24 hours, however, I have done that multiple times and it does not unlock my phone and it does not remove the "pending" claim that was never fully submitted. I never paid for the claim, all I did was enter my info and went looking for my phone again. I called AIG and they tell me there is no claim w/ their company and they cannot close a claim that doesn't exist. When I talked to apple care they tell me to contact AIG. I'm in a never-ending loop with a new iPhone that is a brick now.

I am in a similar boat, AIG is absolutely useless. Recovered my phone, requested to cancel claim, AIG says we cannot. I have my entire life, 2FA, and more tied to my phone, which is also as you note, a brick. Cannot unlock it, cannot get a new phone for A WEEK and Apple cannot do anything to help. AppleCare has really really made a mistake by partnering with AIG. Terrible service.

If you have not submitted a claim (Loss/Theft) and have found your device and the device is with you then, I am not clear as to what your issue is.

My phone shows that it is locked to my email. I cannot remove from iCloud account to reregister. I cannot turn off lost status as it is not there. I called Apple and they told me to call AIG because claim is still in system and I cannot unlock phone until AIG closes claim. I called AIG and they said there is not claim found. I found the link to claim on website, it was “pending” not submitted nor paid for and I cancelled it days ago, when I go back and look it shows I have to cancel the claim again and states my phone will be restored in 24 hours. I am stuck going in circles with the entire process. Does that not make sense? My phone is a brick it’s useless I cannot use it at all.
