New Folder With Items

New Folder With Items

I have a SanDisk 1TB Externsl SSD connected to my MacBook Pro. I made a folder on my external SSd for my a Lightroom Classic catalog to be stored.

I was attempting to add a few more folders for my different Lightroom Classic Exports but after the first attempt I now have some folder that says, “New Folder With Items.”

This seems to have taken the contents of my other SSD folders and put them into it and I don’t want that. How do I get rid of this folder and go back to how I had things before?

I had my main folder highlighted just as the screenshot shows which is Lightroom Raw Images.

Then I clicked:

File

New Folder with LIGHTROOM RAW IMAGES

Obviously made the wrong choice here but just want that New Folder with Items to be gone and things back to the way they were before I screwed up.

Grab LIGHTROOM RAW IMAGES folder and drag it to the same column as New Folder with Items.

If you then select New Folder with Items, there won't be anything inside of it. You can then delete the New Folder with Items.

I saw the undo options and tried them but that is all I have done. Trying to figure out MacOS is kicking my butt. I would drag it back but I really rather just have it gone instead of hiding it. Also would be nice to know what it is and means. Never seen this before.

Can you explain that again? I am not quite understanding what you mean. TY

Also I will try Cmd-Z unless by me trying the undo options already that it’s too late. I also did not at first realize what that folder was and I sent it to the trash. After panicking, I returned it and stopped touching things, lol.

I see what you are saying. Do I need to also drag the folders in third column over as well or will they come when I drag second column over? Really appreciate your help.

My mind is just not working today.
