Since iOS 16 update I have to constantly restart my iPhone 12 Pro to use any of the Apps

Ever since I updated my iphone 12 pro I have to constantly restart it to use any of the apps, even just to read an email. Is there a fix for this? I made a genius bar appointment for tomorrow as I can't restart my phone every 5 minutes, but if there is some easy way to fix the problem I'll cancel the appointment.

New iCloud Session:

Try a New iCloud Session:

Log out of iCloud, and then back in. See if it is seen as it should be seen.


Try Resetting the Home Screen:

Go Here: Move and organize apps on iPhone - Apple Support

Scroll to: Reset the Home Screen and Apps to their Original Layout

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Swipe: You finger down from the top, in a slow manor
  3. Type: Layout

Report this to Apple:

Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Comment: that it is after installing the update when the issue began. Include the URL of this thread.
  3. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  4. Proceed from there aw necessary

Yeah that didn't help. The problem is not with any particular app, it's with ALL apps. They ALL stop responding once I close them and won't start working again until I restart the phone. Even the app store - I get the message that it won't connect to the app store., the circle just goes around endlessly (until I restart the phone). There is literally no app that will work normally. If I open Twitter, tweets won't load until I restart the phone. If I open the LA Times app, ii see the circle going around endlessly until I restart the phone. Same with the mail app. Same with any app. This is why I have had to restart my phone literally about 20 times a day since I installed the update.

Remove the VPN:

Keep Security Software off of your Apple devices. Security Software just gets in the way on a Mac, and this is a pure example of how and why. VPNs keep you in a loop for Security & Privacy —and that’s what got in the way of this connection. So, unless required for home or work, remove the VPN and is software.
