Add a number to iPhone “Blocked” list

When I get a junk call iOS lets me go to Recents, pick up Info on the call, and “Block this contact”. Yes, I know that the result is that further calls from that number will be redirected to my pre-recorded “Leave a message” pot. Cool: same as a trash can. But how may I manually add a number to the list? (I can *see* the list under Settings, Phone, Blocked Contacts. But I don’t see a way to add one!)

Never mind. I found a way. (Maybe not the best.) I added a Contact. Company name, “Unknown”. Phone number, the target. Then I went to Settings, Phone, Blocked Contacts. At the bottom, “Add”. Choices were “Recents” and “Contacts”. I chose “Contacts”. I picked “Unknown”. This yielded a new Blocked entry for “Unknown (mobile)”. Then I deleted the Contact entry “Unknown”. Result? The target phone number is in the Blocked list. [I’m now unfollowing this discussion.]
