i have one question. Last week i was in uk and there my new iPhone 14 pro max was stolen. The police could not do anything because all the cameras were pointed in the wrong directions so the cant find the thief. If i give tou the IMEI, can you block the phone to be useless?

In addition to what you have been provided with the links about a lost or stolen iPhone, Apple cannot block an iPhone either. That can only. be accomplished by the carrier, and not all carriers share that listing, so that is kind of a "maybe". You will have to ask your carrier.
