Troubleshooting a Stollen Phone:

Erase with Find My:

Was Find My set up with this? If so, lock the iPhone that way. Go Here: Erase a Device in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support.

Secure your Info:

If concerned for device access, then (A)verify your devices, and (B)modify your credentials. Open a new eMail address and use that for your Apple ID.

A. Verify your Devices:

Verify that all devices are logged in to your account, by using this link: Check your Apple ID Device List to See where you're Signed in - Apple Support

then...

B. Modify your Credentials:

Having been stollen, someone lily has your credentials. So, by all means, modifying them.

Also...

C. Report Items to Apple and Others:

So, report phone calls' and messages info to Apple and modify. Use my User: Using the Photos App to Report Scams - User Tip

You are welcome.

Troubleshooting a Stollen iPhone:

IMPORTANT: Secure your information, performing what I mentioned in my first reply.

Being Find My is not an option...

Fixe Tactics here:

  • Dial it: See if it is heard ring

  • Ask Local Authorities: See if it has be hanged over.

  • Text It: Ask whomever has come across it, to contact you.

  • Ask Someone: See if someone you know (i.e. Friend, or Family Member) if that came across it.

  • Backtrack your Locations: If you are at a Coffee shop, or a library, stop by and see if it was safely placed aside.

  • Report to Local Authorities: Any hunch as to the facility where this would have been stollen from? Talk with security and let them know what has occurred. Elsewise, there's not much you can do.

File for Theft & Loss:

If Find My was not set up, then your only other option would be to sign up for Test & Loss protection, the file a claim. You only have so many days to do so. See here: iPhone Theft and Loss Claims - Official Apple Support
