In the Mail app, the search functionality no longer produces results. Nothing happens after text input. I'm currently running MacOS Ventura 13.0 on a 2 GHz Quad Core Intel Core i5 MacBook Pro.
I've quit and restarted the app and the machine and the issue still persists.

I would simply rebuild the spotlight database—
You can use the drag&drop method of the Macintosh HD to the Privacy pane, and then delete it to start the indexing

Since yesterday morning (November 14), the email search function doesn't work anymore. I installed the new Ventura version. I followed several suggestions found via google and also this one here. Mail search function still doesn't work.
I'm having the same issue. I tried rebuilding the mailbox in Mail, rebuilding the Spotlight Database, and have reinstalled Ventura. Nothing has worked so far. I am considering a clean install of the OS, but that is quite a bit of work. Clearly there is an issue here.
