Google drive desktop on MacOS Ventura

I have had Google drive desktop installed for ages, no issues at all. Since installing Ventura I noticed it's not working. Nothing has synced for weeks.

The little google drive icon in the menu bar just constantly flashes for about 6 times when I open the drive, then it disappears. Activity monitor shows drive open but using almost no CPU. I cannot take any of the steps on Googles troubleshooting page such as unlinking because I cannot even open the program to select this.

I have booted in safe mode and uninstalled everything related to Google drive, including DriveFS.

I have downloaded and reinstalled the app multiple times from Google's own website. No luck.

Someone help, this is very very frustrating. I use Google Drive extensively for work/study and all my documents on my Mac are synced with it
