MAC Mini Ventura does not work with HP printer/scanner

I updated my Mac mini with Ventura OS 13 and it went smoothly. However there is problem in communicating with the HP Deskjet 2620 printer/scanner. The print function works fine. But the scan function does not. I open System Settings and open Printers and Scanners. The scanner sees the article I wish to scan and an overview scan works. However, when I press the "scan' it goes through the motions but no scanned image is sent to the MAC. I have removed the printer/scanner and then reinstalled it but still it does not send scanned image to the MAC.

Any suggestions welcome
