epson printers

I have spent hours trying many ways to get my macbook pro to connect to the printer. The printer is fine and connects to a chromebook, and microsoft lap top, and 3 smart phones but the macbook cant find the printer. There is nothing wrong with the printer or the wireless connection. I've uninstalled printers, re-installed, downloaded a patch, nothing makes any difference. If the printer doesnt work with a macbook I should return the printer because I asked when I bought it if it would work (it works with the USB cable but not wirelessly).

Hi,

The Epson ET-2820 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support. An AirPrint-enabled model can be used without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

Use printer and Mac connections to a router (your home Wi-Fi network). That is, not a Wi-Fi direct method (where the printer is providing the network).

If there is a problem with device discovery in connection with AirPrint, the following power-cycle procedure (in this order, with these waiting times) can be tested: Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.
