There you go. The phone is not going to operate correctly again until a genuine Apple battery is installed.

But.....I'm not sure if Apple Service will even touch the phone at this point.

An iPhone 6S would not have 95% battery life left in it. Where did you get the battery replaced?

If it was at an Apple store or an Apple-authorized repair shop, take it back and let them know about these issues.

If it was at a third-party repair shop, they would not have used a genuine Apple replacement battery and that could be causing the issue.

If you haven't ever had the battery replaced, then it is giving you a false reading and should definitely be replaced.

We can't speak for Apple, but generally they do refuse to repair an item that has been "repaired" by a non-authorized person or shop using non-genuine parts.

Unfortunately, if you want to visit Apple's garden, you have to use Apple water, Apple fertilizer and Apple sunshine.

In the end, using a third party battery is going to cost you more. First buying the battery and having it installed. Then when you realize the battery isn't up to par and your phone no longer works correctly.

Then the consequences of either not having Apple work on it and being stuck with a battery that doesn't work correctly, or if Apple does work on it, paying for that battery as well.

Having the battery replaced by Apple will cost $49 for a 6S, that really isn't very expensive.

Apple doesn't like to work on phones after they have been worked on by an unauthorized repair shop because if the repair shop did internal damage to the phone and then Apple repairs it, the customer could claim that Apple did the damage. That's why they usually won't work on it after it's been opened by someone else.
