Ventura crashed my Safari!
I just upgraded to Ventura OS. Now Safari will not load any pages from any website, including Apple. (I'm using Chrome now.). How do I correct this?

?
ref: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected
Try holding the Shift key down when you launch the Safari.app and see if that sorts the glitch.
Otherwise I would shutdown your computer and restart and compare your results...
1 - Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.
1A - Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drives from loading
2 - Does the issue present in this mode ?
3 - Sometimes a Safe Boot followed by a Normal Boot will just put things right.
4 - If not - there could be something in the main User Account playing up. To further isolate this - Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac. Then log out of the Main User account and log into the dummy account and test again if the issue persists.
5 - If the issue is present in the dummy account - then, this appears to be a System Wide issue on the computer.
6 - Download the Application Etrecheck directly from the Developer.
The application is free or paid from added features.
It will take a Snap Shot - both the hardware and software.
The Report will Not Reveal Any Personal Information.
Post back the Full Report - copy and paste - >>>> using the Additional Text Icon ( 3rd Icon to last ) <<<<
We can have a look at the report for possible issues and may have possible suggestions to resolve the issues.
Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, is an invitation for disaster and comprise the Operating System
Certain Applications maybe available on the Apple Apps Store - this only means the Developer is prepared to pay Apple a portion on each sale. What the Application may do to the computer is up to the User to check this out before purchase
Any of the above will show in the Etrecheck Report so becomes a moot point
Neither helps. I can't even log onto this apple.com website using safari! I have to go to Chrome just to look at this thread. The message is always the same. "Safari Can't Open the Page" and goes on to say that "the server unexpectedly dropped the connection". This happens instantly, as soon as I press the enter key.
From my experience - Unresolved Software issues that may have existed on a previous version of macOS may in fact be;
1 - Carried through into the Newer Version of macOS 13.0 Ventura
2 - Or underlying issues that were not present in the previous version of macOS may indeed be Manifest and or Amplified in the New version of macOS - Ventura macOS 13.0
There has been sufficient advise offered for the User ( you ) to make an informed and educated choice what the next course of action is required for this computer.
The suggestions have been put forth on a volunteer basis, in good faith and in the best interests of the computer.

There isn't anything wrong with Ventura. No fix will be arriving from Apple.
Whatever is wrong with your computer is a problem only on your computer. If you wait for Apple to fix it, you will wait forever.
You can either work with people here on this forum to fix a fix yourself, or take your device in to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service provider and ask them to fix it.
Just so you know, while Apple will most definitely fix your problem, you might have to pay for it. They also might erase your hard drive. Make sure you have a good backup first.
Thanks. I really appreciate your help. This situation brings back bad memories of my days upgrading the Windows OS. It seemed like every time I would try, something like this would happen. I've been a happy member of the Apple Ecosystem for over 12 years now. This is the first time something like this has happened. It is funny that I can cut and paste the failing url from Safari to my Chrome browser and it works just fine there! So, I suspect it is something within Safari, but that's as far as I get.
As possible method to identify where this issue is on the computer has been offered.
Sorry, but now come down to users' ( your ) choice to explore this or continue with the computer problem.
Should the user ( you )choose to explore the Etrecheck Application and post the Full Report at a later time - we are more than happy to direct the report and offer possible solution.
At this point, have taken enough of the Users' time.
Good Luck and hope one heeds the suggestions offered
Thanks, I found and made the change, but that has no impact on the problem.
I really don't understand why this is so complicated. Everything was working perfectly before I upgraded to Ventura yesterday. Now it doesn't. What did Ventura do to my computer?!
Can I just back it out and wait for Apple to fix whatever is wrong with it?
Not sure why, but now it seems to be working. Didn't do anything, other than to leave the house for a couple of hours... Thanks for your help.
