I have updated to the latest ios and when trying to search through the search button on the bottom of the screen or to pull down the search bar my screen gets frozen for a couple of seconds and the search bar wont show up

Have you yet restarted your iPhone? It may seem like a simple step but it could resolve your search issue.

I did that and I even tried to force restart, it made it ok for a few minuets but it came back
