External speaker cutting out randomly

Im using an Ikea speaker and as im typing this the audio for it keeps cutting out. Sometimes when I click something it will cut out or in the middle of my songs or YouTube videos aswell and turning the volume 3-5 notches usually fixes the problem but it's getting extremely annoying. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

Try restarting in Safe Mode. Restart while holding Shift and test then.


Failing that, try an SMC and NVRAM/PRAM reset.
