Cracking/popping/static sounds when playing songs through the music app

This issue has appeared recently for me. I was using external speakers plugged into the audio jack for the longest time and had no issues like this. I switched over to soundbars (Sony and Vizio) recently though and that is when it began. I have broadcast sound through two different sound bars, via bluetooth and optical (with adapter) connections. It's not the source file - I can hear the interference during a song and then replay it with no issues. I don't hear the issue when I use the internal speakers. This is a very bothersome problem for me - it really impacts the usability of the music app entirely. I have tried numerous suggestions I've seen in this forum but no luck.
