the news app on my iPhone 13 keeps crashing. The problem is getting worse. What can be done?

I also tried deleting the News app and then re-installing it and that seems to have fixed the problem for now…

News app in iOS 15.7 crashing There was an older thread regarding the News app crashing in iOS and/or padOS. Have done all that the earlier thread suggested but the News app is still crashing and failing. Running on an iPhone 11 but seems to have started when launched under iOS 15.7, but not before. Have rebooted phone and app several times but still seems to have the failure when scrolling longer articles with several or many photos or figures in them. Perhaps many ads… Think this remains a latent defect in something in the app that is breaking the sandbox… The phone and OS seem stable outside of this, so think it is an app issue.

The first thing to check is the iOS. Is your iPhone updated to 16?

Yes. It’s updated to 16.1 but that hasn’t helped the problem. I did a shut down and restart also. Thanks
