News app in iOS 15.7 crashing

There was an older thread regarding the News app crashing in iOS and/or padOS. Have done all that the earlier thread suggested but the News app is still crashing and failing. Running on an iPhone 11 but seems to have started when launched under iOS 15.7, but not before.

Have rebooted phone and app several times but still seems to

have the failure when scrolling longer articles with several or many photos or

figures in them. Perhaps many ads…

Think this remains a latent defect in something in the app that is breaking the sandbox…

The phone and OS seem stable outside of this, so think it is an app issue.

News app can be deleted. If not already tried, delete it, disable News in iCloud, restart the iPhone, and re-install News from the app store, and re-enable News in iCloud.

Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > News > {delete app, disable, restart, re-install, re-enable}

Remove apps from iPhone - Apple Support

Failing that, factory reset and re-install.

Otherwise, log feedback with Apple: Product Feedback - Apple
