Why does Apple Music offer hi-res lossless but not have "Exclusive Mode" on MacOS for external DAC's?!

Apple, listen up..... You offer a streaming service for hi-res lossless audio and don't have any way to let the MacOS Apple Music app stream exclusively to the DAC and control the bitrate, this has to be the dumbest decision ever made. For the love of all things holy, fix this, add this, and do it quickly please! I really don't want to go back to Tidal or Qobuz, but this is such a problem that you're kind of backing your hi-res lossless listeners in to a corner based on one easily implementable feature.

Both apps are terrible. iOS integration is poor - specifically with CarPlay.

Tidal’s MQA format is also a total gimmick.

If Apple Music was able to integrate with Roon then that would be acceptable as well, I’d just use that app to access my library.

I’ve submitted the feature request on more than one occasion already. I just really wanted to vent.
