How do I restore a deleted app? I have tried getting app from App Store but it didn’t put it on my Home Screen. I also tried adding it by pressing an app until it jiggled, but couldn’t only add widgets.

Check the App Library. Go to the App Library (swipe left past your last home screen). From there you can touch and hold an app and slide it left back to the home screen.
Also note the Search window at the top of the App Library.
