No video (black screen), and only audio on all streaming services via macbook pro and browser

I've been searching for a resolution to this problem for weeks now, and only recently came across a post here in the Community forums.

As is, I'm writing this as the newest version of the software is downloading to update, I have no idea if that will actually solve the problem, but I'm VERY curious to hear a specific explanation as to why this issue of audio-only-no-video with streaming services is happening. The previews for any movie or show work fine, but the actual playback of the title itself, are only audio with a black screen. This applies to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and even when I attempt to use the Dish Anywhere website (my cable service provider's standalone website that allows you to access your saved DVR programs).

How is this suddenly an issue, and ONLY by updating the software can it possibly be corrected? I had no problems with any of the services mentioned previously, UNTIL Apple released an update. WHAT CHANGED??

Please be specific in your response, and please do not close this question prematurely.

Ok, another quick update to this same mess;

Yeah, the AppleTV+ content is actually working in one way, but only if it isn't in full screen. The whole preview of an episode I'm streaming was fine, but once the actual episode started; back to a black screen with only audio.

BUT, if I take it out of full screen, it plays WITH the video included.

Who dropped the ball here? This is terribly annoying...

At this point, all signs point to a problem created by the software update from Apple itself. I'm also VERY curious as to how things can suddenly change to create this error, when I haven't updated or changed anything myself.

Has there been some sort of change in communication with streaming platforms (that wasn't mentioned or notified to users)?

One VERY NOTABLE PIECE OF INTEREST; While I'm sitting here waiting for the software update to download (supposed to take approximately an hour), I just tried to open some video content on AppleTV+. LOW AND BEHOLD, THAT STREAMING CONTENT WORKS!

What in the world is going on right now? Please explain SPECIFICALLY how this isn't intentional on the part of Apple (with painful detail) please...
