FaceTime audio gets cut off on iPhone 13 Pro

As the title says, my FaceTime audio keeps getting cut off when I am using the speakerphone, regardless of whether I am using voice isolation or not. This ONLY happens under a speakerphone setup using FaceTime, as I have tried other permutations without any issue (FaceTime with a microphone, speakerphone with other video apps, microphone with other video apps). This seems like a persistent problem that has not been resolved by Apple as I see many other threads on it without a useful resolution.

Hi caliwong,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand others are not able to hear you on FaceTime calls. This article provides the steps to rule out a microphone issue if needed: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working - Apple Support

"

If people can't hear you on phone or FaceTime calls

  1. Open the Voice Memos app.
  2. Tap the Record button , speak at the bottom of your phone, then stop the recording.
  3. When you play back the memo, you should hear your voice clearly.

"

If you've already tested your other apps and are able to record voice memos, then this does rule out a microphone issue. If that is the case, we recommend contacting Apple Support for further assistance. Contact Apple Support

Take care.
