iPhone 12 Pro stuck at the apple logo

iPhone 12 Pro stuck at the apple logo because of full storage. Tried iTunes update to firmware 16.1 . It stopped before completion with a message : phone could not be updated because of unknown error (6). Anything else to do except for Factory reset?e
