My Apple Watch SE gen 2 doesn't vibrate when a new notification is received (e.g. Viber, What's up, Facebook)

I have fully reset the watch, re-paired several times with the phone, and updated to the latest version and still my watch doesn't vibrate when a new notification is received. Is this a known issue?

The Haptic settings are enabled and the iMessages vibrate successfully. However, all other alerts don't.

Hello miss_inzaghi,

It seems like your Apple Watch does not give any haptic feedback when receiving notifications except for Messages, right? Were you able to receive the feedback until recently or you've never been able to?

Check out this article on setting up haptic alerts on your Apple Watch:

Change the audio and notification settings on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

"How to manage Apple Watch Haptic Alerts

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and tap Sounds & Haptics.
  3. Turn Haptic Alerts on or off.
  4. To add extra emphasis to haptic alerts, tap Prominent. This feature adds an additional haptic tap that pre-announces some of your other haptic alerts.

You can also change the settings for specific apps from your iPhone. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, go to the My Watch tab, and tap Sounds & Haptics.

If you're wearing your Apple Watch and you don't feel a tap as you adjust the slider, contact Apple Support. For the best haptic results, the back of your Apple Watch needs skin contact. Use a snug, but comfortable fit. "

Regards.

Hello miss_inzaghi,

You can customize the notification for a particular app, if available. Here's how:

  1. On your iPhone, go to the Watch app
  2. Then the My Watch tab
  3. Scroll down to the app which you'd like to customize the notification for.
  4. Select Custom, as opposed to Mirror my iPhone
  5. Under the Alerts section, turn off Sound, and turn on Haptic

Keep in mind, not all apps have a custom notification setting available.

• If a third-party app doesn't have that option, contact the app developer:

• If an Apple app doesn't have custom notification options, you can leave feedback for Apple:

Take care.
