I have an iphone5 with software 10.3.4, how can I update my software to use Apps like WhatsApp, gpay and others.

You will need to buy a newer iPhone, that is as high as the iPhone 5 can be updated due to hardware limitations.

The iPhone 5 cannot be updated any higher than iOS 10.3.4.

You need an iPhone 8 or higher.
