Contact Photos not staying cropped
For a couple years now, even after multiple updates (including large ones) my contact photos will not stay cropped. I select the photo I want on a particular contact, crop it, then save. At first, all is well, but within a few seconds, the photo un-crops itself and I am left with the entire photo as my contact (which I obviously didn’t want). I have tried everything to get around this, including everything on the list of suggestions provided by an Apple support tech who was assisting another individual with this same problem—but to no avail (and yes, I’ve checked and tried all the iCloud syncing methods other Apple service techs have recommended). The ONLY way to save a properly cropped photo to a contact is to duplicate the photo I want, crop it, then test to make sure it will look right, re-cropping over and over again until I’m satisfied. Obviously, this is a whole lot of extra unnecessary work and a little frustrating. This didn’t used to happen a couple years ago. I hoped it was just a bug and that the new iOS 16 would fix it. However, the problem still prevails, even after a new phone and new iOS upgrade. Why give a crop option if it literally does nothing? I don’t believe it would be a stretch to say that I speak for millions of iPhone users who would be exceedingly thankful for a bug-update to fix this issue. Thank you for your consideration.
