Apple Watch Ultra - elevation getting stuck after flights

Am on my 2nd Apple Ultra watch already. The elevation reading on the new watch face gets stuck after being on an airplane. Only way to reset is to unpair/repair. Seems like a design flaw. Just not sure if it’s hardware or software.

My first ultra was sent in and I received a replacement 5 days later. The replacement is now showing same behavior. Anyone else tested this ? The pressurized airplane cabin varied between 4819 and 5532… watch is now stuck at 4819f although my phone compass reads 650f after landing. I waited 2 days to see if it would “adjust” but to now avail.

Curious what else I could try without unpairing which would render the watch unusable as I fly multiple times a week.
