I recently installed Ventura. Stage manager is not enabled, and the relevant part of the Desktop and Dock entry is greyed out. Reinstalling Ventura did not fix the problem. Please help

If you scroll down a bit further in the Desktop & Dock preferences you will see the below setting which needs to be enabled to use Stage Manager. Once you enable it, you must logout then back in or restart your device before it starts working. After, you should be able to enable Stage Manager.
