Carplay not connecting to Uconnect

Is anyone else unable to connect CarPlay with Uconnect on Ios16, 16.1? Iphone on CarPlay just spins on available cars. Works fine with wife's Honda. After chatting for 45 minutes with Apple and on phone support with engineers for over an hour, they blame Uconnect on my 2019 Ram with 8.4 Uconnect. Able to use siri, text and make phone calls but Carplay never initiates so no apps such as maps, Pandora etc. Yes, I tried everything they walked me through with screen sharing to no avail.


Funny that I only have issues when there is an apple update. Seems like every .0 update such as 14.0, 15.0, 16.0 same issue. Eventually it is fixed with a new iteration.


Thinking of switching to android phone.

Currently on Iphone 12 with 16.1. Wife's Iphone on 16.02 and also won't connect.

If you've spoken with Apple Support and they've determined there's a compatibility issue with the latest version of iOS with your system, then we'd recommend contacting the manufacturer. They're generally going to be best equipped to provide or release firmware updates that ensure compatibility with OS versions.
