My 13 pro max keeps dimming to half brightness for seemingly no reason and i cant figure out why. All auto brightness settings are off, true tone is turned off, accessibility auto brightness settings are off, low power mode is off and its 40 degrees outside and my phone is cold. Can someone explain to me why my phone is still auto dimming to 50% randomly?

Go to Settings/Face ID & Passcode and turn off Attention Aware Features. Attention Aware dims the screen when you are not looking at it directly. The screen will also dim a few seconds before it locks, as a warning it is about to lock.

Auto brightness off in both brightness and accessibility, true tone off, phone not hot. Still dims.
