MacOS Ventura - External Monitor disconnect

I just updated to macOs Ventura, and my external monitor ( Samsung C43J890) Keeps disconnecting every couple of minutes. It is currently connected via USB-C. Was working fine prior to updating to Ventura, so my assumption is that it is related to the OS updated. Mac Book Pro M1Max.

UPDATE: I am currently connecting the external monitor via USB-C, and I use this connection for both Video output as well as power for the MacBook. However, I noticed that the intermittent monitor disconnects seem to only happen below a certain battery charge %, which leads me to believe this might be a power issue between the mac and the Samsung display. Once the Mac Book is complete charged or charged up to a certain %, the monitor disconnects stop and everything functions nominally. This was not an issue prior to Ventura.

Ok, I knew why.

From Venture, the USB accessories by default are no longer trusted unless the vendor paid Apple tax. To fix it, you have to go to setttings/privacy&security/security section, select always from "Allow accessories to connect".

Apple did not tell you before making such a change, just frustrating their customers to make some extra money from certifcation process.

I manage close to 100 macs - several connected to Samsung displays via USB C:

Make certain that the samsung display settings are set such that they keep providing USB-C power, even if the monitor goes to sleep... that should prevent the mac to switch to battery operation.

But it won't prevent the mac to loose connection to the display: that's typically a bug in Ventura that everyone if waiting for Apple to fix.

I am having this issue as well. The state of Ventura is an absolute disaster. It's absolutely astonishing how deep Apple has fallen. With Monterey my mouse would be ghosting and trailing only on the external screen. I thought upgrading to Ventura would fix the issue, but now two separate monitors just keep connecting and disconnecting in a loop. Seeing how Apple failed to address the other issue with the cursor in Monterey for over a year, this is drawing a really bad image. Apple will probably never fix this issue. My company has lost thousands of dollars in lost revenue from updating to Ventura in just a few days.

I am having the exact same issue since Ventura 13.1 on my Macbook Pro 14" M1 Pro. I have two screens (same samsung model C43J89), one in the office and one at home and the exact same behaviour. When the power is below a certain level, it will intermittently disconnect which is extremely annoying. Even adding an extra magsafe power adapter doesn't solve this.

I tried it with another USB-C powered docking station and then it worked but I would just like it to work with the single USB-C cable connected from the screen to the Mac like it did before Ventura was installed...

Anybody already has a fix?

My battery was at ~55%. I tried to plug in my power adapter through the magsafe port. The disconnects disappeard, everything is working as expected. I confirm this wasn't an issue before Ventura.

I tried like you suggested (connect the magsafe and then the screen) and then it keeps on working. And indeed, every time the battery percentage changes the issue happens. I raised a support case with Apple as the laptop is under Apple Care but so far they want me to do basic troubleshooting steps first which I haven't all been able to try yet due to time constraints (try if the behaviour is happening under another user account, try in Safe Mode and check for issues with Disk Utility).
