External LG monitor turning off via USB C after upgrade to MacOS 14.4.1 Sonoma
- I'm using a MacBook Pro (Apple M1 Pro) with an Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter with the HDMI lead attached to an LG monitor 27UL550-W. (The adapter uses the thunderbolt port)
- The OS is MacOS 14.4.1 Sonoma and the issues have come since updating to it
- Intermittently the monitor turns itself off displaying the message: No signal. Entering power saving mode shortly
- Prevent auto sleeping is On and Wake for network access is set to Never
Lock screen options are set to Never
LG Monitor settings
- Input List: HDMI 1
- Smart Energy Saving: Off
- Power LED: Off
- Automatic Standby: Never
I've tried
- Changing the cable
- Putting the adapter in the right port
- Resetting the PRAM
- Unplugging everything.
The monitor worked fine before the upgrade to MacOS 14.4.1 Sonoma. Any help much appreciated.
