Safari is not showing the Favicons on the Favourites / Bookmarks Bar

Safari on Monterey 12.6, is not showing the Favicons on the Favourites / Bookmarks Bar. The Favicons are populated and showing in the bookmarks folder / page.

Is there anyway to correct this, or is this a feature that Apple has nonsensically decided to remove?

After Chrome was eating away at my battery by having it running in multiple spaces, on my new M2 MacBook Air, I decided to switch to Safari. I am starting to realise why everyone uses Chrome.

Thanks

Hi there LondonLawyer,

Adding a website to the Favorites Bar will only show the website name and not the icon of the website. The only way to see the icon next to the favorited or bookmarked website would be to view them in the Menu Bar or select 'Show Bookmarks Sidebar' under 'View' in the Menu Bar. This has more information: Bookmark webpages that you want to revisit in Safari on Mac

If this is something you'd like to see changed in the future, then we would encourage you to submit your feedback about this here: Feedback - macOS - Apple

Cheers!
