MacBook Air reset

How do I wipe info from my daughters old MacBook Air and start from scratch. She has backed up and put everything on her new MacBook.

Manufacture reset and data Since 3 years ago I use newer macbook for my Quicken files. I stopped using this files on the old MacBook at the same time. Now i would like to give the old mackbook way.
