Displaying outdoor cycling distances

My series 6 apple watch does not display the distance metric for outdoor cycling, despite the GPS working fine and displaying a map of my ride in the Fitness Summary data on my phone. What should I turn on to capture this metric (for display on watch, on phone or both)?

Cycling distance with Apple Watch I have a new Series 7. I have issues with distance tracking with outdoor cycling. I go cycling WITHOUT my phone. Clearly the GPS works as per the screenshot, but not the distance/speed calculation. It works great if I go walking. To fix the problem I have to go cycling WITH my phone, but that defeats the purpose. How can I get my stand alone watch to show distance and speed??

Why isn't distance, gps map included in Cross Country skiing on Apple Watch It's interesting to note that questions why the Cross Country Skiing alternative on Apple Watch only measures time, calories and average heart rate are more than a year old. And NOTHING HAS HAPPENED! Obviously no-one responsible for the development of the Watch OS is interested in Cross Country Skiing, or knows what it is about. Distance, is really important to a cross country skier. Why isn't that measured in the app? Cross Country literally means that you quite often ski in unknown territory. The Apple Watch has a GPS function which works when you walk, run or ride a bike and it produces a map over your workout. Why isn’t that function implemented in the Apple Watch? A Cross Country Skiing function in the Apple Watch that only measures time, average heart rate, calories and shows you your starting position, is I’m afraid a joke and might as well be deleted in its present limited functionality.

Apple Watch shows GPS map but doesn‘t track distance Hi everyone, I purchased my first Apple Watch (a series 7) a few days ago. I just completed my first run with it, using the workout app (outdoor run) and it started the timer. However I soon noticed it continuously said „0 meters“ which I found weird. When I arrived home, and ended the workout, it tracked a 1h06 minute outdoor run, with a HR of 168bpm on average, but with 0 meter distance and 0 calories burnt. What makes it even weirder is that using the fitness app on my iPhone I can SEE the map of where I ran, so the GPS seems to work just fine. Any ideas on whats wrong and how I can fix it? Would be greatly appreciated! Cheers! PS: All my activity rings for today are at 0 to for today…
