Storage

I moved from iPhone 8 to iPhone 13 mini and transferred from old phone to new. My old phone phone storage was about 40K on the new iPhone it’s maxed out at 127k with the other data accounting for 94GB. I read to do a shut down which I did yesterday and the storage moved backed down to 9GB but it’s cal up to 94GB today. Any advice?
