wont update on app older version on iphone 6

im still using my iphone 6 which is running on ios 12.5.6 which is the latest version. i have a problem opening my yahoo app which requires a ios 13 update but a notification states "download an older version of this app?". Nothing happen after clicking the "download" option and the notification just keeps on popping.
